Double Eye Lid / Slit Eye Procedure


           

Double eye lid surgery, commonly known as slit eye procedure is commonly requested by Oriental patients, such as Chinese, Japanese and Koreans or patients with poorly developed upper eye lid folds. The procedure creates a well defined slightly slant upper eye lid fold, resulting to a brighter and youthful looking upper eye lids. Incisions are oriented in the natural fold of the eyes and the procedure usually last for 30 to 60 mins.  This is done under local anesthesia.  There could  be some swelling and  bluish discoloration on the first 2 to 3 days after the procedure. The swelling and bruising will usually  subside after 1 to 2 wks  and the thin surgical scars will become less visible and gradually blend into your eyes natural lines. Sutures are removed on the 3 to 5th day post operatively.
