Breast Nipple Reduction


            Nipple reduction is done to reshape the nipples areolar area. This procedure  reduces the size of the nipple, and the darker surrounding areola skin. The goal is to give the woman smaller, better-size and shaped breasts nipple areolar complex in proportion with the breast and the rest of the body. This procedure involves small incisions to remove the excess part of the nipple areolar area. This is usually done in the out patient clinics under local anesthesia. Suture is removed after 4 to 7 days post operatively. There could be some swelling after the procedure that subsides after several days or weeks.
