Coming from a well-known family of doctors, Dr Rino Lorenzo, is the eleventh child of the late Dr Felipe Lorenzo Sr., a surgeon and Dra Peregrina Lorenzo, an anesthesiologist. He is the ninth member of the family to become a doctor. The medical profession of both his parents greatly influenced his decision to pursue a career in the medical field. Dr. Rino Lorenzo is a Board Certified Cosmetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He graduated from the Pontifical University of Sto Tomas, with a degree in Bachelor of Science - Medical Technology as his preparatory course to medicine. He then took his Medical Education in the same institution for which he finished within the top ten percentile of his class. With his special interest in the field of Surgery, he underwent training in General Surgery at the University of Philippines-Philippine General Hospital Medical Center (UP-PGH). After this he had 3 years of formal training in Plastic Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the same institution (UP-PGH) under the supervision of world class and internationally trained Filipino Plastic Surgeons known both locally and internationally. He also had his training in Burn Surgery at Alfredo T. Ramirez (ATR) Burn Center UP-PGH which is the largest Burn Unit in the country. Because of his notable attitude in his work, that is, patience, compassion and dedication during his training, Dr. Lorenzo was given various administrative and crucial positions such as the Chief Resident of the Division of Burns, then the Chief Resident of the Division of Plastic and lastly the Chief Resident of the Department of Surgery at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital Medical Center. Dr Lorenzo has extensive experience and exposure in both Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, and specializes in a variety of cosmetic enhancement and rejuvenating surgery. He is one of the cosmetic plastic consultants at Borough Medical Care Institute which is a center for beauty and wellness that aims to provide safe and quality results in plastic cosmetic surgery. Together with a team of certified plastic surgeons, the group would like to bring back professionalism in this field of medicine by adhering to the right and safe procedures.
